What will be the 'vibe' of WLCW shows? Is it a family show? Traditional sports wrestling? Adult themed? Surreal?
And what is your preferred style?

Can you please explain why the Toronto Raptors are built to win multiple championships in the next decade?

When I made the pitch initially to Drew for some image work on the shows and the logo and stuff...I said early 90s WCW mixed with a bit of AEW as far as a "feel" for it all. He's so fucking good that he nailed it. In my mind, as far as how the show will presented, it will be your traditional wrestling show. I wouldn't say surreal or a family show...I want it to have a realistic feel and that's the most important thing to me as far as putting this show together with the stuff you guys have written and stuff. I want it to feel real.

Random question #2: in your opinion, what is the Mt. Rushmore of terrible wrestling gimmicks?

What are your views on gimmick matches or themed PPVs in eFeds? Here's the thing... There's obviously a time and a place for them, but at the end of the day, this is an efed. It's our job as writers and creators to find ways to justify the gimmick match or using the theme. I mean, it's pretty clear I like the theme idea with Ascension being the first PPV with all ladder matches. You'll see ladder match variations as well as we get closer that I'm super excited about. But shit man...like, this is all about having fun and building and fostering an environment to be creative and do fun things. I'm totally fine with just going nuts at some points and doing some gimmick matches. I've considered myself to be more of a traditionalist in the past, but I'm pushing through that and trying to be a little more out there with some stuff. Prepare to see some fun stuff at Ascension.

Random question #2: in your opinion, what is the Mt. Rushmore of terrible wrestling gimmicks? Mt. Rushmore of terrible wrestling gimmicks... I'm not gonna dive too deep into the past and try and keep it recent enough. 1. Shining Stars - Primo and Epico sell time shares 2. Jason Jordan - son of Kurt Angle (but honestly, this had a chance but was bad initially) 3. Rowan - when he had that cage with some kind of weird animal thing in it (spider, right?) 4. Stardust

Forgive me if this has been asked/ mentioned/ stated somewhere... but I am curious... Does the WLCW/ you (Craig) have an "official" word counter that we can collectively default to?
For example, I used the same text and ran it through a couple different counters. My last Kingston's role came out as follows:
Google Docs - 1259 The board's counter - 1067 wordcounter.net - 1108
So, in a truly competitive match... it would be beneficial if both competitors were using the same counter to check themselves.

I've been using wordcounter.net myself. I suppose an official word counter would make sense, given that some of them count symbols as words, others don't, etc.

I, personally, hate when matches are determined by splitting hairs on word counts and would hate to know I lost because of someone thinking I went a few words over the word count.
ETA: Sure, let's use an official site/method for the word count. I know Craig said the name bars didn't count, so that's a plus

Honestly I find it super pedantic if we're going to be going down to if someone is 100-200 words over limit.
I say that admittedly as someone who probably went over on their last. I wasn't going to try and parse out "Okay, my Firefox Word Count says I have 2167, pasting this in MS Word is 2142, then I gotta subtract nameplates."
I just believe the word count is a "spirit of intent" thing and if you get within 200 words, that's good enough. I'm assuming Craig is judging on quality over "well this post is X amount words over/under, that's who wins" unless it's egregious like a 500 word difference.

I say this in the kindest and most sincere terms, with no disrespect added. Who cares. As long as it's not like egregious then why should I care that my opponent went a little over the word count. It's not beneficial to the competition, it's the opposite really. It's making people hyper focus on little things and saying "Oh that? I should definitely be more favored because of that" and not focusing on their rps and character building.

I know Craig said the name bars didn't count, so that's a plus In fairness... of something has an RP limit or a word limit... then those are those rules/ stipulations... part of how something is judged. That's the very basis of how this fed is structured with the word limits and our choice to do one or two roles. Does it suck? Yes. But can you get pulled over for doing 5 over the speed limit? Yes. You can. If the name bars don't count, that's silly. That makes it a gigantic pain the rear for anyone and everyone to quickly word count their role? I personally think the name bars should count. That is part of the challenge. That's part of what makes this a structured competitive writing environment and not a total free for all.
