MICK FOLEY: First and foremost, I would like to welcome each and every one of you to World League Championship Wrestling. We have amassed and are continuing to grow the greatest professional wrestling roster in history. Each and every one of you out there are officially in on the ground floor of something very big and something very special. I truly believe that we are on the cusp of seeing some of the greatest professional wrestling ever together. Without even having a show in the books yet, I have some very exciting news to share with all of you out there.Mick smiles his toothy smile at the camera before continuing.
MICK FOLEY: In the history of professional wrestling, we’ve seen a lot of great ideas and even more not so great ones. From putting someone’s mother on a forklift to having a reverse battle royale, some ideas are not worth repeating, let alone emulating. That being said, there have been some really great ideas and concepts in the super rich history that is professional wrestling. While we here at WLCW are working on the forefront to create new, unique and captivating matches for our audience, sometimes we have to admit that those who came and existed before us had great ideas themselves. One of those ideas being the Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royale. A battle royale match in which competitors are eliminated by being thrown over the top rope until two men are left. Those two men go on to compete in a match down the road. On Saturday, January 22nd, we will see a WLCW World Title Contender Battle Royale. Participation is not mandatory, but this is an incredible opportunity that I expect few will pass up. The final two remaining in that match will go on to face one another at WLCW’s first Pay Per View show.
Mick’s eyebrows raise for a second before coming back down and a smile growing on his face.
MICK FOLEY: Speaking of WLCW’s first Pay Per View show, I’m super excited to announce that show will take place at the historic Madison Square Garden on Saturday, February 12th. The show will be called Ascension and every title match that night will be a variation of a ladder match! Coming out of that show, we will have champions crowned and move into the next part of the schedule leading up to the WLCW Supershow on Saturday, March 26th. More information on that show will be revealed down the road, but believe me when I say that it’s going to be a huge one.
The camera closes in on Foley as the smile never leaves his face.
MICK FOLEY: I want to reassure all you out there watching this that this will not be a common occurrence. My plan as the General Manager of WLCW is to be more hands off when it comes to the shows and being in front of the camera. The last thing you’re going to tune into Vengeance or Storm for is to see my ugly mug. However, I will be in attendance next Wednesday night in St. Louis, Missouri to kick off the show and make another big announcement. From then on, you’ll likely see my on screen time be scaled back wildly and the screen time focused on those who deserve it most. As the first show in WLCW history gets closer and closer, I can’t help but get more and more excited and caught up in the anticipation of what we will see next Wednesday night. We have some huge matches on that card and some people not in action who plan on being in attendance that night. I hope you’re all looking forward to it as I am. The schedule has been updated on the web site and a ‘sign up sheet’ for the World Title Contender Battle Royale will also be up there soon as well. I want to thank everyone for tuning in tonight and don’t forget to catch Vengeance on the WWN next Wednesday night. And most importantly everyone, have a nice day!
