Matt Sydal is backstage. He's seen talking to some crew.
The camera men catch up with him.
Matt Sydal:
I was just giving some respect to the camera crew and other backstage personnel, there are a lot of people who make the show happen, their work goes unnoticed. They have done a spectacular job in my opinion , never made me look bad and are just good people.
It is such a shame to have this happen. I've been around a long time , if this place was awful I wouldn't ; lie, I have had a really good time here.
It's just a shame because Cardona and I have history as rivals. Eddie Kingston we go back 20 years but have only faced each other twice.
I was about to go into the X division, a division I love, a championship I have won before in a few other promotions, I really knew I could represent that championship well and perhaps later, it can happen. For now, it's ending. I get a rematch against Brady, I have Damien Priest to deal with too, he could interfere. I don't know about the other guys but I don't have the view of " oh well, last show, doesn't matter." We all want to leave on a high note, leave with having made our mark.
Matt Sydal:
I have many ways to keep myself preoccupied until I find another fed. I have a step son who's 8 , I have my wrestling school the Sydojo that I run, I grow cacti, I'm a cacti mad scientist. Pro wrestling is still the crux of my life. Being here at WLCW, I have been able to face the best of the best, I had a bittersweet start, I figured hey since these guys , Punk and Cena who are considered the best have stuff going in their personal life, they would be easier to take down, that wasn't the case. That's the beauty of this business, of this craft, it is impossible to truly master.
Matt Sydal:
I'm a fan of Alan Watts, he's one of my favorite philosophers, he has a quote that I feel fits here best " The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it and join the dance."
