I've really enjoyed the competition in the women's division. Especially with Zelda. I wrote this one with some extra motivation. Best of luck to you.
After a string of impressive victories and positive momentum, Julia seems to have taken a few steps backward in recent weeks. She's been juggling her own singles career while also trying to be the one to steer the Blondes through tumultuous times.
Sometimes you have to know when to say enough is enough, though. Stop trying to carry others that have no intentions of doing the same. Worry about yourself and the things you can control. That's where Julia is at. It's time for her to worry about herself.... and only herself.
All about me now.
Gone are the days of her trying to babysit Griff and Brian. Worrying about their every move. Wondering when the next bad decision is going to be made. It's just too much. Too much for Julia to have to shoulder.
She had everything she wanted in the Women's division right in front of her. And somehow, she's now managed to rapidly descend into obscurity. An afterthought in the Women's division. That's going to change, though. And it all starts on Vengeance with Kagetsu. It has to. It will.
All about me now.
[Following Storm on 3/5]
Excitement is still in the air as fans continue to file out of the arena. Another wonderful show put on by World League Championship Wrestling. One person in particular that is not feeling the said excitement all that much.... Julia Hart.
We find her slowly walking down the hallway with her head down. The last few weeks have taken a big toll on her, both mentally and physically. You can see it just from her body language alone. She's drained. She takes slow, quiet steps as she blindly approaches a wall and ninety degree turn in the hallway. Just as she is about to walk right into the wall, a voice calls out here name.
?: Julia?
It startles her enough to make her stop and avoid faceplanting into the wall.
RENEE YOUNG: You alright?
She looks at Renee Young, the person that just saved her from a possible trip to the ER for a broken nose.
JULIA HART: I'm fine.
RENEE YOUNG: Honey, you've been through a lot. I'm right here if you want to talk about it.
With what energy she has left, Julia curls her nose and rolls her eyes at Renee.
JULIA HART: I said I'm fine..
RENEE YOUNG: Alright. You want to know what I think? I think you need to take a break from them boys. There going to get you into trouble
One could argue they already have.
JULIA HART: Did I ask what you thought? I don't think I did, Renee.
Just full of frustration and dealing with a whirlwind of emotion, Julia forcefully moves Renee out of her way and storms off down the hall as we fade out.
[Unknown location]
We are inside a dimly lit hotel room. We see the silhouette of one person that appears to be sitting at the end of the bed. The soft crying lets us know that it's a female. The camera zooms in on the small desk located in the corner of the room. The desk lamp is on, revealing a book that is open with a pen sitting next to it. The page reads.
'It was time for a change weeks ago. I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I couldn't turn my back on you guys. I wished that some lightbulb would come on in your heads and you'd realize that you weren't doing what was best for The Blondes. I wished every single day. I didn't want to make this decision, but I'm at the point where you've left me with no other choice.'
The crying continues as the camera pans, revealing who we suspected was sitting on the bed. Julia Hart. It's her diary sitting on the desk. She rubs away the mascara that has begin to smudge underneath her eye. After a short pause in the crying, she gets up and walks towards the bathroom. Her body language just another indication that she's indeed upset. As she enters the bathroom and turns the light on, she gets a good look of her face in the mirror.
JULIA HART: Oh my god, look at me!
She is disgusted.
JULIA HART: I look like shit.
Her mascara and makeup is smeared all over her face. She's been crying for awhile. As she begins to run some water in the sink, she looks back up at the mirror.
JULIA HART: This is why I'm done with you two. I'm done.
We fade out as she starts to clean up. She has accepted that she will be making some changes in her life.
While she may be upset about it, Julia has broken down a wall that was holding her back from everything she could ever dream of.
Nobody knows how this will impact her career. Not even Julia herself. She's taking a tremendous risk. Putting the ultimate faith and trust in herself.
Is this the beginning of new heights for Julia's career? Or the beginning of the end? Only time will tell.
[The night of Vengeance 3/16]
It's another big night for World League Championship Wrestling. One of the biggest cards yet. We're going to find out a lot more as we are less than two weeks away from Clash at the Canyon. Things are starting to get real.
We find ourselves backstage as the night is just beginning. Some of the superstars are starting to arrive, while some of them have already been here for awhile. Julia Hart falls into that category. She was one of, if not the first to arrive.
Look, there's trusty Josh Matthews too.
JOSH MATTHEWS: Julia, rumor has it you have decided to break away from the Varsity Blondes.
JULIA HART: That would be correct.
She's at peace with her decision, smiling as she moves forward with her WLCW career.
JOSH MATTHEWS: You look like you're confident you made the right decision.
JULIA HART: Of course I made the right decision. Have you seen those idiots lately?
Referring to her former stablemates, Brian and Griff. She shakes her head.
JULIA HART: They got issues.
JOSH MATTHEWS: They seem to be working through some things.... that's for sure.
JULIA HART: That's an understatement, Josh.
With a half smile, he nods but then quickly looks to change the subject.
JOSH MATTHEWS: How about you? Looking forward to your match tonight?
JULIA HART: Of course I am. It's exciting. I've already shown what I've got to offer. Most of the women on the roster have already seen what I'm capable of in the ring. Couple breaks go my way the last month and I'm standing here in front of you right now as the Women's champion. Without the roller coaster that was The Blondes, who knows where I'm at right now.
JOSH MATTHEWS: It's fitting you bring that up because that was my next question. Yourself and Kagetsu are both in a great spot for positioning when it comes to the Women's title.
This is truly music to her ears. She's giddy with excitement.
JULIA HART: Getting another shot at the Women's title would be a dream come true, really. I've accepted the fact that opportunities were lost while The Blondes were in the midst of crumbling. But, that doesn't mean I can't climb back up the mountain. I was almost to the top once. Why can't I do it again? I think it's where I belong.
She points up towards the ceiling as she smiles at Josh.
JULIA HART: Look, I'm not trying to downplay the abilities of Kagetsu. I know I'm a little.... confident...
JOSH MATTHEWS: That's one way to put it, I guess.
JULIA HART: Hey! Call it what you want, Kagetsu is going to get everything I have to offer. Not really sure she's one hundred percent committed to this line of work anymore. Dunno. That's just kinda the way it seems to me at least. Yes, I know that looking at it from an experience standpoint, you'd have to give her the advantage in a match like this. But, Josh..... We both know that this lady is just three seconds away from retiring... again. That's just the truth. And I'm going to regain my mojo and get another shot at the Women's title! Also the truth.
JOSH MATTHEWS: Was there a reason behind you using her finishing maneuver to win your match on Eruption.
Just reminding Julia of this gives Josh a few extra brownie points.
JULIA HART: Thought it would be fun to try something new. Let's just call it that...
She smirks and softly puts her hand on Josh's shoulder.
JULIA HART: Seriously, I just was watching some Youtube videos. Kagetsu has a whole encyclopedia of moves and plenty of experience.... She has talent..... she had talent. Whatever.
JOSH MATTHEWS: I'm getting word that she has just arrived at the arena.
JULIA HART: Is that supposed to scare me? Do you think that I'm scared of Kagetsu? She could walk right down this hallway right now for all I care.
Josh points in the other direction.
JOSH MATTHEWS: THERE SHE IS!
Julia jumps about three feet in the air and upon landing, she bolts it down the hallway.
Josh was just kidding. He's got a big smile on his face.
Fade out.
