My fellow efedians...
Let's start with everything up to now before we move on and talk about the future. We are just three short months into this endeavor together. We have lost a few men and women along the way but we've also welcomed in some new fresh blood as well. We have had some great matches, fun feuds and awesome shows week in and week out. I know we've had our issues with some no shows, but I can say with utmost confidence that I have been over the moon happy with the amount of time and effort people have given here so far. I feel like I'm the engine here that keeps the wheels turning while you guys consistently churn out quality content and make the whole thing go. Again, the effort from you guys has been second to none. From the social media board to Eruption and everything in between.
At the end of the day though, we are just almost six shows into this whole thing, so what is the point of this address? Great question. As it stands right now, I'm moving into a different space and direction in my personal and professional life. I just recently got a promotion that will lead to a lot of changes for me. Most of you know I am in management at a bank and am continuing my career with them, just in a different department...branch...and city altogether. I will freely admit that I did a majority of my writing at work because what I did there did not require a ton of attention and effort to do well. Hence why I got the promotion lol. This new position may hinder my ability to write matches and segments and announcements while at work. So, how does this affect WLCW? Hopefully not much, but I think we may start to see shows posted on show day later in the day instead of early in the morning or afternoon. I know we also had the conversation earlier last month about moving to a bi-weekly schedule on Saturdays. My plan is to reassess my workload and WLCW load after a few weeks at the new position and adjust accordingly.
Anyone who has spoken to me personally about efeds, writing and WLCW knows that one of the main things I harp on as far as success is time management. Much like all of you, I lead a busy life at times. My life got a little less busy with my second job ending last night (planned, not a surprise), but that has also parlayed right into my main job being more time consuming. I don't plan on WLCW going anywhere and I don't plan on lessening my time and effort here. We've worked too hard to half ass anything and I want to ensure that every single person is getting an experience here they deserve.
So, again, why this statement?
Well, one to brag on you guys and the work you've done up to this point.
And two, to just give a heads up that there may be some changes coming. But anything that gets changed, please know that it's being done for the better here and my change in work load. We have been trending in all the right ways and directions so far since opening and I don't plan on stopping. Don't forget to continue to click links and keep us up on the top 100 sites. I plan on keeping up with reddit posts and continually trying to bring new blood into this place. I know a lot of you are friends and talk a lot and have varying opinions on things that happen here...but at the end of the day, I just hope that everyone is having fun here. No matter the amount of time you're able to give. Whether it be the person who just takes matches, shows up and gets booked for the next show or you're the person who is doing Eruption, social media posts, OOC conversations and matches to boot...I just hope you're having fun here. I thank all of you for just giving any kind of time and effort because we are all a part of the success this place has had.
Let's continue forward up to and through Clash at the Canyon and move towards a new set of stories, feuds and competitive matches in the spring and summer.
