So obviously some folks use guys on the older edge of things, but who's someone you'd like to take in their prime, and bring to this day and age?
Mine are probably easy low hanging fruit but...
1. Macho Man - Macho's promos in today's age would still be glorious plus the man was so meticulous about his work and matches.
2. HBK - Yeah his prime/pre-born again self was a major prick who nearly killed himself on drugs, but I'm going from a pure ring work standpoint. I'd love to see him for example go against AJ or Rollins.
3. Vader - I haven't seen tons of his matches but quite a few tell me Vader was a man who could GO. I'd like to see how he'd be in today's landscape of lack of traditional monsters or monsters that quickly fade fast (see: Ryback and Braun)
Honorable Mention:
4. Goldust - This might be the odd pick, but I'd be curious to see how the character as he was originally done with the heavy movie references and ambiguous sexuality would be taken in today's more accepting (mostly) social climate.

Well off the top of my head... Bull Nakano - The epitome of a monster heel and trendsetter for a whole generation of Joshi. I think Bull in her prime would be glorious in wrecking shit in AEW or Impact over here or any Joshi promotion.

There's a lot of greats who would mix well. For brevity, I'm going to shorten it to ones that I can see matches for.
Bull Nakano vs. Kairi Sane (Hojo workrate)
Manami Toyota vs. Io Shirai (STARDOM workrate)
Akira Hokuto vs. Asuka (Kana workrate)
Minoru Suzuki vs. Bryan Danielson
Kenta Kobashi vs. WALTER
Keiji Muto vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (this happened a few times, but I would have loved to have seen 2016 Nakamura vs. Muto before his knees went)
Shinya Hashimoto vs. Kevin Owens (Steen workrate)
