What a wild day. I’m still a little in shock.
Money talks it would seem
What are your thoughts? Where would you like to see him go? Are we get eternally worked?

I don't want him to get shit on in WWE but I'd rather see him retire than go to Impact. Not sure, sucks either way. Enjoyed him in AEW.

I'd almost guarantee he ends up back in AEW.
Sure, he'll be gone for awhile. Tour the indies, work with the NWA, maybe pop up in Impact for a bit. Hell, he might even sign a short-term contract for him and Brandi to go job to The Miz and Maryse at Summerslam. But there's almost no way this doesn't end in him making a "surprise" re-debut at some point. It's all part of whatever big-brain "I won't turn heel" storyline idea he's got in his head.

This just seems like a bad deal for both sides.
Him talking to WWE is confusing as well since it would help WWE, while hurting AEW. Seems like Cody/AEW have enough reason to avoid this.

I suspect the same. That said, however, if he does go to the 'E I'm also not surprised. Out of AEW's active roster (not including the Joshi they haven't been using), Rhodes is one of the big 3 I suspect could leave. Lance Archer and Brian Cage are the bigger two, but Cody is the next I'd see possible. There's been rumors of he and Brandi being disgruntled for a while now and he has enough pull to get them a decent spot with WWE. My gut says though he will go back to AEW soon.

What if he starts his own, new wrestling company called WLCW?

Maybe it was QT Marshall who should have gone over in that feud with Cody

Maybe it was QT Marshall who should have gone over in that feud with Cody Nah, QT shouldn't go over anyone. QT is perfect as a solid hand/"jobber to the stars" jerk heel that always gets his comeuppance. It's the rest of The Factory that should be the ones to go over. For example, Anthony Ogogo totally should've gone over in his feud with Cody, especially after that weird, cringy pro-America promo that went over like a lead balloon.

Saw more on this and it seems legit now. Legal team was involved for AEW last week and Cody apparently has been in contact with people in WWE. Interesting to see what happens from this and what reaction he gets if he pulls through with the decision.
