Funaki, for years working exclusively with Asuka and Kairi Hojo helping as a translator for their backstage promos and segments. "Please, take a seat." The gruffled voice of the standing John Laurinaitis escaped into the room as he gestures to the comfy chairs sitting in front of his desk. Asuka cautiously looks at Funaki before performing Keirei out of habit, bowing quickly before taking her seat across from the Head of Talent Relations who does the same. John, as he always has, calls this out. "Please, Kana, that isn't necessary. I don't want to waste your time here and wish to be blunt with your situation." John looks over to Funaki who quickly translates the words for Asuka to ensure no misunderstandings are going on. Asuka's smile and happy demeanor on her face sinks immediately to a state of forced neutrality and innocence at the realization of what is going on.
"We are really sorry to inform you, that we will be running out the remainder of your contract." Funaki looks stunned at his words as does Asuka. The buildup of injuries she has been developing to only now be blindsided is unbelievable. However, as Asuka has learned from Triple H during her time here in the WWE, she remained calm at the news and simply nodded as Funaki translated the words for her. "We want to ensure you, while you recover, we will be paying for all Medical bills and basically paying you to stay at home. In turn, we will ask that you help us with branding with Merchandise and continue your duties outside of Wrestling. Again, I am sorry, this is due to time constraints and financial constraints we will be having with the upcoming changes here within our Brand." The words of John echoed through Asuka's head. One year of promotion and then her contract is done! This is the last of her time within the WWE. What is next for her?! Her mind began racing as she could only nod and thank John for their time and promotion. She bowed again towards the man out of respect and shook his hand. As she exited the door, a sigh came from a deep place that she didn't expect. She turns and shows respect to Funaki for his years of mentorship. She's finally out of contract in one year but she's not entirely sure where she will go. What is next? She may go to fight Hikaru Shida in AEW.

The man has been following her for a while and nicely said he got her a job at some company. However, the more the translators say, the more KANA is convinced he has them wrestling at a Bible School. Nonetheless, supposedly, Shinsuke will be coming after he is out of contract - so she's in! At least, this guy seems fun. KANA simply smiles and gives two thumbs up to Danhausen's offer of "help".
