On the World Wrestling Network, there is once again an interruption to the scheduled programming. Roughly around 8pm, earlier than the previous distraction as this time Malakai purposefully wants more people to hear his message. We join the leader of the House of Black wearing his signature horns. He is a dark silhouette in a smoky and unclear area.
He once again does not face to the camera as it appears he is having a conversation with someone off screen.
MALAKAI BLACK: And down you went. The black mist burning your eyes, the toxin within slowly seeping into your skin. And one swift kick of justice took you down. I wanted a sacrifice to show the power of that mist, the power of that toxin. And people, the world, everyone out there got to see it. And they are going to get to see even more of what the toxin is capable of. It is not about losing the match, it is about exposing your soul. My toxin is not an agent of corruption, no no, it is merely a weapon that can reveal. It can not force evil thoughts or actions into your mind, it can only show your truest self. Now who, tell me who, would sign up for that and think its a good idea. A maniac. That is what you are. You are a lunatic. And I can respect that Warhorse. You have my eye and soon I will give you more of an explanation. You will live again, I will give you that second chance.
The camera zooms out to show that Malakai has not been speaking to anyone, merely speaking words into existence. The silhouette's head suddenly darts towards the camera and the body turns appropriately. His focus is now our direction.
MALAKAI BLACK: But to spend my night talking about Warhorse leaves my back turned to a lot of knives ready to plunge in. Let us name them. Cody Rhodes, who already got me once. Miro, who does not understand that his potential ascension might have some longer-term consequences. This demonic mystery that speaks my name and challenges me. I do not know who they are but as someone who has seen and understands the house of black... that gives me a shiver. Whether that is of fear or of excitement, I will leave up to you. The names are growing by the moment and yet two of them remain unspoken until now. Brock Lesnar. Kevin Nash. Two men who do not understand me and my mission and worse off they might not even care. I am here to do something right for this world, I am here to weed out the ones that have those cruel intentions deep in their soul. I am trying to find them and bring that sadistic side of them to the surface for us all to see. And then I will eradicate it and you all will be safer for it. This is an important mission Kevin. This is what I will dedicate the rest of my existence to, Brock. And it frustrates me that I know you two are going to stand in my way and try to prevent me from achieving this important goal. Why? Because of greed? Because of shortsightedness? Because you two could not look beyond what was good for you and see what was more important for the wrestling industry.
The image of the silhouette standing fades to older footage of Kevin Nash in WCW holding the World Championship as pyro goes off in the background. Next is Brock standing over the Undertaker having just ended the streak. It switches between images of historic moments in the two wrestlers careers as Malakai's voice speaks.
MALAKAI BLACK: Kevin Nash is one of the greatest champions in WCW history. Brock Lesnar will go down as one of the legendary fighters of the WWE. But what they both share is that the greatest and most infamous moments of their careers have past them. I do not share that with them. As synonymous as Kevin Nash is with WCW and Brock is with the WWE, I do not have those ties.
The images are now replaced with moments of Tommy End, Aleister Black, and Malakai Black.
MALAKAI BLACK: ICW, Progress, WXW, WWE, AEW. My face has appeared in many different places but none of them own me or my greatest moments. Because I have a second chance, a greater calling that I did not understand at the time. I knew there was something greater for me to do, I just did not know what it was. It was not until I sold my soul that it all started actually making sense to me. I have my mission and I see the championship as the tool by which to finally start that conquest.
We return to the horned silhouette of Malakai Black. He is now seated in his traditional cross legged pose.
MALAKAI BLACK: Do you know what the most frustrating thing about this match at Ascension? It is that I gave my soul to serve a higher purpose and even with that additional power this is not going to be an easy fight. Is Brock Lesnar stronger than a demon? Any random demon, yes, yes he probably is. Brock's strength is unnatural, he is a freak of nature and he has the ability to tear anyone in half. Kevin Nash is not your average man either. He does not have Brock's strength but he lifted a 500 pound man onto his shoulders and drove them down on their neck nearly ending their life. That is a combination of strength and ruthlessness that is sickening. And unlike Brock, Kevin is cunning. Kevin is smart. He picks and chooses his battles and he does it in a way that he always comes out the winner. I could have Brock dead to rights and he can slip in and steal the victory away from me in a heartbeat. I am a possessed man and that makes me the strongest I have ever been in my life but it does not make me invulnerable or unstoppable. It does not make me undefeatable. It just makes me more dangerous than I have ever been in my career and it is up to me to make the difference and make this unholy deal worth the suffering I am in store for.
A small shift in posture as Malakai is spirited as he says the following words.
MALAKAI BLACK: A few weeks in the battle royal, I missed out on my first opportunity to secure a world heavyweight championship shot. This is a second chance. Second chances are not supposed to come often and they better not be wasted. The WLCW is a land of second chances. We have souls who never reached their full potential who have a second chance for success. The ones who saw their time on top ticking, this is their second wind. The ones whose glory days came and went, this could be their "second run", their redemption. How nice. Everyone gets their happy ending, how beautiful. Not me. Never me. By my own choice, I am in store for a very dark very sad very depressing existence beyond this mortal coil. There are no second chances for the ultimate decisions I have made. As fate would have it, I still have time before I face the consequences of my own actions so in that mean time I will do what I set out to do. I will find the deceivers, I will expose them, I will eradicate them. It is not a difficult plan but it is one that requires a way to find and bring those souls out. To put it quite bluntly, I need the WLCW World Heavyweight Championship. Not for personal greed but for the salvation of this industry. I refuse to let my mission be stopped. No matter how cunning an opponent may be, no matter how strong an opponent may be, I fight for a higher calling and that goal will propel me to success. I'll see you all at Ascension where I will be victorious. And then I will move on to either Cody Rhodes or Miro and end their title reign before it even really starts. And one day, very deep into the future when all of the evil that this industry houses has been exposed and eliminated, one day it will be Brock and it will be Kevin who will come up to me and they will say "Thank you Mr. Black, thank you. We did not know what we were standing between." And I will forgive them because I will have become a kind, benevolent, and generous man who accomplished his goals and is beloved. And I will be a man that believes in second chances.
The light turns off and there is now nothing but a black screen before we return to our regular programming.
