Brief backstory / Description of character
Brady Booker: the Division III college linebacker whose NFL dreams were shattered when he couldn't even be drafted as Mr. Irrelevant (the nickname given to the very last draft pick in every NFL draft). Determined to move on from that embarrassment and show his actual relevance somewhere, Brady pursued a life in professional wrestling. The Illinois native bounced around the big cities learning the craft, but his time in wrestling schools were short lived. While attempting to once again train in a wrestling school, he was met after one show by "The Road Dogg" Jessie James. James took Booker under his wing and the new bond has lead to success on the indepedent circuit. Now, WLCW has hired the abilities of Brady Booker, along with the nostalgia of "The Road Dogg" Jessie James. About this business deal, the Road Dogg says "when it comes to Brady Booker, either you're down with that, or you can suck it!"
In-Ring Lifestyle:
Brady Booker is that kind of heel that will talk you down during every moment of his destroying you. Brady enjoys having long matches just to make his opponent suffer humiliation at his hands. Brady believes that if he can break an opponents will in the short term, in the long term, the matches will be less of problem--aka mind games. If you get an upper hand on Brady, even a little bit, he'll calm that down with some heel move to regain the advantage and then legitimately work you over. Anytime Jesse gets barred from ringside, Brady starts to focus less on trash talking, but increase his heel tactics--trying to shortcut himself to a victory. He'll never drop to his knees during an opponents offensive surge to beg for mercy or a time out--rather, he'll just exit the ring and use the referee count as a time out. Brady will never do a walk out/count out on purpose, as he'd rather pull you into fighting to the back instead. If Brady loses via DQ, Brady has felt at that time that the opponent has embarrassed him by not just quitting and letting Brady win. Brady understands that DQ's are losses, but Brady also feels that standing tall in a loss is way better than being left in a pool of blood and battered with a win. Brady is a calculated risk taker when it comes to moves deemed "aerial" in nature. He'll only jump to the outside when it's a definite advantage. Most of his turnbuckle offense is relegated to the second turnbuckle, unless it's more of an advantage to be on the top turnbuckle. Brady enjoys striking down his opponents with his pinfall finishers as many times as feels necessary after a match to truly knock them out. He also enjoys holding onto his submission finishers as long as possible-once another staffer person or another referee starts to enter, he'll release the submission finisher he's using. Brady Booker is a sore winner and a sore loser. The only sportsmanship he has is that does not purposefully break bones or tear muscles/ligaments--just psychological and physiological desire to beat him. Booker believes professional wrestlers have a right to make a living like any other pro athlete, but they just don't need to think--emotionally or mentally, that they can do it in the ring against him for belts they think they deserve more than Brady Booker.
Jesse James will bark orders to keep Brady on track--since trash talking allows your opponent time to recover. Jesse will involve himself in matches, only by way of distracting the referee long enough so that Brady can regain control of a match. Jesse believes that much more involvement than that will mess up his reputation as a fan favorite. Jesse also believes that this type of involvement will allow him flexibility with the referees so he can stay out to help Brady during the entire match. If he's barred from ringside, he'll slow walk his return to the back--however long he can make that process, no matter if it's at the start or during a match so that Brady can get one extra advantage from his being around. Jesse will delay referee and any extra staff or referees that come to break up Brady's submission finisher post match.
Out-Of-Ring Lifestyle:
Brady Booker's out of ring lifestyle is 180 degrees compared to his in ring lifestyle. Both Booker and James attempt to just be law abiding citizens. Sometimes that attempt can be crazy, but harmless fun. Sometimes, it's just the ups and downs of living life. Brady and Jesse are accessible to the fans as much as they want them to be (Brady's sportsmanship tends to allow fans to be ok with his other behaviors, unless the fans are "under 14"). Brady tells the fans that his job in WLCW is like farming, it can get heated at times, but you have to get dirty to get the job done. Meeting up with other WLCW wrestlers are met with guarded friendliness, as Brady sees WLCW as a job and never anything personal--even if other wrestlers make it that way. Jesse James, however, will be the one that gains payback for making things personal if need be due to his knowledge and experience around the sport.
