The pyrotechnics go off for the start of the show as the Madison Square Garden crowd is absolutely electric. The crowd cheers are almost deafening as the shot transitions from the entrance ramp pyro ending to the commentary desk where we see Mauro, Pat and Renee Young with the call tonight.
MAURO RANALLO: Welcome everyone to a night where we will crown three first time champions! Welcome everyone to the very first WLCW SuperShow! Welcome everyone to Ascension! I am Mauro Ranallo and joining me tonight here ringside as always is Pat McAfee and Renee Young!
RENEE YOUNG: Gentlemen, a pleasure to be alongside you all here tonight. We have an amazing show in store for us. Every match tonight with so much on the line whether it be championships or championship opportunities!
PAT MCAFEE: Miro and Cody Rhodes in the world title match tonight. That’s going to be an absolutely insane and brutal match. Those two men are hungry and ready to fight!
RENEE YOUNG: Don’t forget Queen of the Mountain where we are going to have five – count them – five women step into the ring for that one to crown the first women’s champion!
MAURO RANALLO: Tag team titles on the line tonight as well in a fatal four way setting which will convert into a ladder match when there’s only two teams left! Plus CM Punk, Matt Cardona, Roman Reigns, Prince Devitt and others in non-title action tonight!
PAT MCAFEE: It looks like we are going to start the night in the bowels of the greatest arena on Earth here though.
RENEE YOUNG: This one has a chance to get wild!
MAURO RANALLO: Maxwell Jacob Friedman found himself with the most eliminations in the title contender battle royale to wind up in this match tonight against Braun Strowman for the X-Division championship. Mick Foley added the stipulation that it’ll be a Kitchen Nightmares match starting in the kitchen and serving area of the arena!
RENEE YOUNG: I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve had a meal or two down there in my travels here and it’s a really nice space and area that is going to look like a disaster zone when these two are done there.
PAT MCAFEE: If you can’t stand the heat - -
RENEE YOUNG: - - Oh brother…
MAURO RANALLO: Fans, we’re gonna take you now to a live feed from deep inside Madison Square Garden for the start of this one!

X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
BRAUN STROWMAN VS MAXWELL JACOB FRIEDMAN
KITCHEN NIGHTMARE MATCH
KITCHEN NIGHTMARE MATCH
Maxwell Jacob Friedman stands outside the door to enter the kitchen and serving area in the bowels of Madison Square Garden. On the other side of that door stands the X-Division champion, whom MJF earned a shot against for having the most eliminations in the title contender battle royale on Storm. How Friedman came to get those eliminations is subject to debate, but most would argue and say that Wardlow did most of the work and MJF cleaned up for easy eliminations. Yet, regardless of how he got the eliminations, he alone earned the opportunity to challenge for the title here tonight in this unique circumstance and match. On the other side of that closed door in the kitchen area stands the X-Division champion, Braun Strowman. Braun, the first ever WLCW champion of any kind. Since winning the championship on the debut episode of Vengeance, it’s been tough sledding for the master chef. A tough run in the title contender battle royale, followed up with a tag match loss after being left to a two on one situation against 2.0, Braun has been struggling. However, unlike the battle royale and the tag team match, there will be no other factors involved tonight. Mick Foley has banned Wardlow from interfering in the match in any way and has assured Strowman that this will be a one on one fight. It’ll just happen to be a fight that starts in the kitchen of the world’s most famous arena and ends when someone climbs the ladder in the middle of the ring to grab the X-Division title. Friedman reaches up and grabs the handle on the door into the kitchen serving area, turns it and pulls the door open, effectively starting this matchup.
PAT MCAFEE: I’ve seen a lot of interesting things happen in kitchens, but this should be the most interesting thing I’ve ever seen.
RENEE YOUNG: You’ve seen a lot of things happen in kitchens? What does that even mean?
PAT MCAFEE: Well, first of all the whole movie Ratatouille.
MAURO RANALLO: Okay, animated classics set in kitchens aside, Pat is right that this should be interesting. Strowman and MJF for the X-Division title is here!
The door closes behind MJF as he stands just inside the door. The room is dimly lit but you’re still able to see everything in there for the most part. The area he stands in right now is the serving area but he starts moving towards the kitchen area. The sound of something sizzling and cooking starts to grow with each step MJF takes towards the kitchen. He peeks his head around the corner to see a skillet with some kind of meat in a sauce in it. No one is near it though as there seems to be no one in the room as a whole. Friedman walks into the room and cautiously towards the skillet. He reaches the skillet to see the fluids in it bubbling and bursting repeatedly. The burner turned all the way up on high, he can feel the heat radiating off of it. He looks down to see the burner knobs and turns the one that’s all the way up to fully off. The bubbling starts to subside as MJF has a confused look on his face. That’s when a hand grabs him from behind and spins him around. Strowman is there in the room and looks angry. MJF is surprised and tries to react quickly, but Braun has his hands firmly around his neck and shoulder area. He moves towards a metal cooking table and throws MJF up, on and over it. Friedman’s body hits it with a loud metal thud and then slides off, landing on the floor on the other side of it. Strowman sees a line of pots hanging from hooks above the burner and grabs one of the smaller ones, holding it by the handle. He walks around the table to where MJF is getting back to his feet, striking down with the pot. Friedman moves out of the way and as Strowman hits the floor with it, the pot shatters and the handle breaks off of it. Shocked by this, MJF moves quickly and kicks Braun in the stomach. It has little effect, so he does it again and then once more until finally Strowman drops the handle. Maxwell grabs a ceramic plate off a stack of them near him and smashes it over the doubled over giant’s head, taking him down to the floor. The camera pans to the side and behind MJF to reveal a set of cutting knives for meat and a cleaver. Friedman turns his attention towards them and takes a few steps in that direction.
RENEE YOUNG: Oh no, you cannot be serious.
MAURO RANALLO: You’d have to assume that meat cleavers and cutlery like that are all legal!
PAT MCAFEE: This could get ugly real quick!
Before MJF can reach them, Strowman grabs him from behind, spinning him around. He grabs him behind the head and thrusts MJF forward into a metal serving tray near the burners. The tray gets smashed and knocked over as Friedman goes tumbling into it. Bruan stays on him though as he picks MJF up off the floor and shoves him towards stacks and pallets of food near the wall. Large canned goods and natural fresh fruits all sharing the same space, ready for use. Friedman’s back smacks into columns of family size cans of pears. Strowman comes rushing in after him trying to smash MJF between him and pears! MJF moves out of the way and Braun goes crashing into the stacks of cans, knocking them all over the place…breaking a few of them in the process! The floor now becoming a sticky pear-y mess. Strowman tries to get back to his feet, but his shoes are slipping on the awful mess just created. More cans being knocked to the ground with every attempt he tries to get his feet under him. MJF sees the big man struggling to get to his feet and uses this as a time to try and escape the kitchen and work towards the arena. He heads for the exit door, walking out of the kitchen and into the serving area. Before he can get all the way around the long serving station, Strowman is back to his feet and running full speed through the door and into the end of the serving station, breaking it away from the wall where it was pressed up against it. MJF eyes grow wide as the monster chef stands between he and the exit of the serving area. Before Friedman can react, Strowman delivers a big clothesline, knocking him backwards into the area that houses the bottled drinks and pre-wrapped sandwiches. Bottles of sweet tea and soft drinks fall down and onto him, each one seemingly heavier than the one before it. As MJF tries to get all of that off of him, Strowman grabs a trash can from the end of the serving area and swings it around, hitting MJF in the stomach with it. Maxwell is covered in bottles and the trash can sitting on him now as Braun goes to leave the serving area and head towards the tunnel to enter the arena.
MAURO RANALLO: Pure chaos is the best way to describe this!
PAT MCAFEE: Gotta tell ya, I was looking forward to grabbing some food down there after the show. Now? Not so much.
RENEE YOUNG: Not feeling up for some pears, Pat?
Before Braun can reach the door, MJF has freed himself from his bottle and trash can prison, attacking Strowman from behind. A double axe handle from behind knocks the X-Division champion into the exit door, busting it open. Braun topples through the door and into the long corridor, smacking into the wall. MJF follows him through, limping into the long hallway. He grabs a pair of tongs hanging off of a mobile vendor station and holds it like he’s going to stab at Strowman. He strikes Braun right on the head with the metal tongs as the crowd in the arena gasps. He keeps the end of the tongs there, driving them into the giant’s head trying to draw blood and inflict pain on him. After a few seconds, Braun finally swipes up and knocks MJF’s hand and arm away from him. The tongs go flying and hit the wall. Strowman grabs MJF by the throat, swinging him towards and tossing him into the mobile vending station! Braun goes to punch Friedman, but he ducks and Strowman’s hand goes right through the glass casing protecting some of the food sitting in there. Braun’s hands are cut and start to bleed as he pulls his it back through the broken glass. Maxwell kicks him from behind in the bag of the leg as the giant clutches at his cut hand. He kicks at the back of his leg and then one more time, finally taking him down. Braun is wincing in pain now, holding his hand as Maxwell grabs his head from behind. He opens up a small refrigerator door on the front of the unit. He stuffs Strowman’s head into the small box from behind and then quickly slams the door on the champion’s head! Braun’s body goes limp for a half second and MJF pulls the door open and slams it into his head again! Strowman’s head slowly slides out of the compartment and his body lands in a heap at MJF’s feet. A heavily breathing MJF starts making his way, albeit slowly, down the long corridor towards the arena.
RENEE YOUNG: The way Strowman’s head go stuck in that small area and then had the door slammed on him. I hope he’s all right!
MAURO RANALLO: Maxwell Jacob Friedman is showing he will do whatever it takes to win here tonight!
PAT MCAFEE: I may never enjoy anything from the refrigerator again.
Friedman reaches the large curtain at the end of the tunnel and pulls it open. Much to his chagrin, it puts him on the floor of the arena with the fans. About twenty or so rows from the barricade and ring where the ladder is standing and waiting to be climbed. MJF starts to make his way through the crowd, fighting off those foolish enough to try and prevent him from getting to the ring. A cup of beer comes flying through the crowd and hits MJF, covering him in Busch Light. Friedman seems angered by this and starts shoving fans that get in his way as he makes his way through them. Somehow, Braun Strowman comes stumbling through the same curtain MJF emerged through about a minute ago. Braun’s hand still bleeding and now a cut on the side of his head adding to his issues. Friedman has no idea of Braun’s whereabouts, thinking he’s already dispatched him for good. He finally makes it through the crowd and hops the barricade. Braun is behind him, catching up little by little as the crowd is making no attempt to hinder him getting to the ring. Maxwell slides into the ring as Strowman reaches the barricade. Before Friedman can start the ascent up the ladder, he sees Braun stepping over the barricade. His eyes grow wide like he’s just seen a monster in a movie. Strowman grabs the ropes and steps up onto the apron. MJF thinks quick and grabs the ladder, folding it and using it as a battering ram, drilling Strowman right in the stomach with it. This knocks Braun back and off the apron now, but he still lands on his feet, clutching at his midsection. The fans all react to someone coming down the ring and when they turn their attention to the entrance area, they see Wardlow moving quickly down the ramp.
PAT MCAFEE: Now, as far as I know, if Wardlow gets involved in this match, MJF will automatically lose. You’d think MJF would know that as well.
MAURO RANALLO: There’d be no better ending than Wardlow getting involved and costing MJF this one!
RENEE YOUNG: Something makes me think they know that and have a plan though.
Strowman is getting back to his feet now as MJF is barking commands at Mr. Mayhem. Friedman tosses the ladder down and moves to the outside of the ring to join the other two men now. As soon as he gets there though, Strowman reacts quickly, drilling MJF with a strong clubbing blow to the chest. Wardlow takes a step towards Braun, but knows he can’t do anything or get involved without costing MJF the match. The crowd eggs Wardlow on to hit Strowman, but he doesn’t. Braun picks MJF back up and whips him into the barricade, MJF’s back smacking and colliding with cold hard steel. Wardlow takes another step towards them and this finally draws the ire of the champion, who turns his attention towards the bodyguard. The two get face to face and Braun seemingly dares Wardlow to hit him. Mr. Mayhem seems to throw something on the ground near where MJF is, but before Strowman can react to that, MJF is up and drills him from behind, knocking the champion forward and into Wardlow, taking them both down. Braun tries to pull himself back up to his feet, but the thing Wardlow threw at MJF a few seconds ago comes into play as Friedman grabs Braun’s hand and HANDCUFFS HIM TO THE RING POST! He clasps it in and Strowman finally realizes what happens. MJF smiles at him backing away, knowing he can’t reach him for a strike. Friedman rolls into the ring and sets the ladder up once more. Strowman fights like crazy to free himself but MJF easily climbs the ladder and grabs the X-Division championship to become the winner and new champ!
WINNER:
MJF
Belt Retrieval - 19:17
Belt Retrieval - 19:17
MAURO RANALLO: The absolute scum of the Earth!
PAT MCAFEE: Genius! He’s a genius, Mauro!
RENEE YOUNG: He’s also the new X-Division champion. The count resets, but he’s going to be hard to beat now.
MAURO RANALLO: Say what you will about him, and believe me I will, he is one tough competitor. Especially with Wardlow by his side. Fans, we got some footage from earlier today with some going ons with Momo Watanabe!
Earlier today.
The familiar hot pink Subaru that struck down Drake Maverick peels out and speeds out of the shot with the mysterious hooded woman behind the wheel. The fans immediately begin booing. Left behind, we see Sonny Onoo and Momo Watanabe standing in the parking lot. Momo looks disinterested, clutching the strap of her gear bag slung over her shoulder. Sonny Onoo, in a suit that's impossibly brighter and more pink than the Subaru, looks down at a folded up piece of paper in his hand. Smiling ear to ear, he looks at Momo over the sunglasses that have slid ever so slightly down his nose.
SONNY ONOO: You know, Momo-chan, I love the American legal system. All I had to do was walk into the nearest police station, tell them that I am a victim of Asian hate, and they are practically falling over themselves to give me a restraining order against Drake Maverick... the privileged white man who has done violence to me!
He chuckles. Momo just looks at him.
SONNY ONOO: No questions! No due diligence!
He pushes his sunglasses back up and speaks in Japanese.
SONNY ONOO: < American laziness is our secret weapon! >
She just shakes her head and looks away. Suddenly, with absolutely no set-up or warning, Mick Foley walks into the shot to a huge pop. He offers a handshake and Onoo accepts it quickly, only for Foley to bring him in for a big hug!
MICK FOLEY: Bring it in, pal!
Foley holds the hug awkwardly for several long seconds before finally letting Onoo go. Foley also has a folded up piece of paper in his hand but seems more interested in the one Onoo is holding. He gestures toward it.
MICK FOLEY: Say, bud, not that I was eavesdropping but did I hear you say something about a restraining order? What's going on? Did ya' get into some hot water with the Yakuza or somethin'?
Foley pantomimes a karate chop into the open air.
MICK FOLEY: HI-YAH!
He chuckles and pats Onoo on the shoulder.
MICK FOLEY: You gotta be careful with those secret ninja cults, am I right?
Sonny just stares at him blankly.
SONNY ONOO: No.
He shakes his head and clears his throat, before holding up the piece of paper.
SONNY ONOO: So funny... but no, Foley-san... it's unfortunately much worse than that. You see, ten days ago at Vengeance... I was the victim of a hate crime!
MICK FOLEY: Oh no! A hate crime!?
SONNY ONOO: Yes, the devious one known as Drake Maverick assaulted me with his motorized weapon. He assaulted me, an Asian male, who is not an official manager... but instead, only a lowly Asian assistant hired specifically to help poor Momo-chan acclimate to her new home in the United States. Did I mention that I am Asian?
He smiles ear to ear. He can't help it.
MICK FOLEY: Are you talkin' about when he scooped you up in his lap while he was zooming around on that sweet Shoprider Streamer Sport? Brother, do you know what that thing can DO?! I'm jealous! Believe me, that joy ride was a lot of things but it was no hate crime!
SONNY ONOO: WELL, I HATED IT!
He holds up the paper.
SONNY ONOO: And thanks to the powerful Stop Asian Hate movement, I have a restraining order and I want Drake Maverick barred from ringside for the Queen of the Mountain match tonight!
Onoo straightens up, puffing his chest out.
SONNY ONOO: Honestly, Mick, he should be fired... but you are a dear friend of mine and so I will give you an opportunity to save face by simply having him removed from the building for tonight's match.
Foley sighs and scratches his beard nervously.
MICK FOLEY: Well, see... I'm not gonna do any of that, but since you brought up the Queen of the Mountain match, let's talk about the piece of paper I've got in MY hand. See, this is a manager's contract--
He points at Onoo.
MICK FOLEY: And you don't have one! That's a problem. Not only is that a problem, that's a liability! See, you're right, you're not a manager. I signed you to a staff contract specifically to help Momo find her way in the States and you've kind of taken it upon yourself to guide her in your own way... and even hire a mystery woman for her back-up!
Foley looks up, thinking about that one for a second.
MICK FOLEY: You know, I'm really gonna have to talk to someone in accounting to find out how that contract got approved-- it's bad enough that even I don't know who she is, but she ran over Drake Maverick with a car! That's illegal! But that's beside the point! In my hand, I have a manager's contract. If you wanna be at ringside for Queen of the Mountain, you're gonna have to sign it and forfeit your staff privileges... which means other managers like Drake Maverick can totally lay their hands on you!
Onoo's face turns red.
MICK FOLEY: --OR! Or you can remain on the staff payroll and go about your business helping with Momo's day to day... and maybe-- just MAYBE I'll take a look at your restraining order. It's your call!
He looks at Momo and smiles, offering a big wave.
MICK FOLEY: Hey, Momo!
She scowls at him. He offers a thumbs up to Onoo.
MICK FOLEY: Have a nice day!
Foley limps off out of the shot, leaving Onoo and Momo standing there alone. Onoo looks down at his restraining order and sneers before shoving it inside his jacket. Momo looks at him and shakes her head in disgust.
MOMO WATANABE: Baka.
We fade out on a shot of Onoo and Momo standing by, with no idea what decision Sonny Onoo is going to make in regards to his employment status.
MAURO RANALLO: Momo seems ready for tonight, but Onoo has a restraining order issue on his hands!
PAT MCAFEE: I think we’ve all been there!
RENEE YOUNG: Have we!?
CM PUNK VS MATT SYDAL
SINGLE SMATCH
SINGLE SMATCH
This is a rematch from the most recent Vengeance in a way. Although the journey these two have taken to get back to this point has been a bit all over the place. They initally met in a triple threat match that included Prince Devitt. Devitt, who wound up winning that match will be featured in an X-Division qualifier match later on tonight. Then Punk and Sydal were put into a tag team lottery to make the final wildcard team for the tag team championship match – also taking place later tonight. Of the four people in the drawing, they were the two not selected and the consolation prize for not being selected? Well, it’s a one on one match for a future X-Division championship title shot. So, while it was quite a rollercoaster to get here, this is where they find themselves now. A one on one match with no one else involved. Both men needing a win as their struggles early on in WLCW have been pretty noticeable. Sydal and Punk are both men from an era not too long ago, but certainly not men who would define the current era. At least not right at this moment. A win for either one of them helps start to shift that narrative and build a case of them being legit challengers. Two men looking to right their course after drifting off the last few shows. The chance to basically start anew at their own fingertips now. The bell sounds and this match is officially underway.
PAT MCAFEE: Two men who have been around the professional wrestling business for a long time here.
RENEE YOUNG: This match would have been a hot one in 2012, yet here we are ten years later and it’s still a Pay Per View caliber match.
MAURO RANALLO: Both guys may have lost a step, but I wouldn’t count on either one losing any sort of fight in them. Sydal and Punk both want and to a bigger scale, need this win.
The two combatants measure one another up after the bell sounds. Neither man is too interested in rushing in and making a mistake early on that could quickly cost them the match. These two know what needs to be done as far as controlling the match and its’ pace goes. Sydal, while not the quick high flying acrobat he used to be, knows he has the speed advantage over Punk. While CM Punk has the mat wrestling expertise and striking ability to win this one in a single strike if given the opening. The two go to lock up and there’s a bit of back and forth as they jockey for the early advantage. Punk seemingly takes control with a wrist lock as he turns Sydal’s right arm around. He continues to twist and pull his arm up away from his body. Sydal tries to use his free arm to strike and knock Punk away, but it’s cinched in pretty tight. Matt goes to the mat and spins around before flipping back to his feet, twisting his arm in a way that thrusts Punk forward and flips him over onto his back. Sydal tries to take advantage quickly with a standing moonsault, but Punk moves out of the way. Sydal is able to react quick enough to land on his feet, sprinting to the ropes behind Punk. CM turns to watch Sydal and stop whatever move he wants to do next. He runs by Punk towards the other ropes and before he can turn around, Matt springboards off the second rope and thrusts back into a back elbow into Punk’s chest, taking him down to the mat. Sydal is down to one knee and quickly back to his feet, staying on the attack with a double axe handle down across Punk’s back as he tries to get back to his vertical base. Another double axe handle and then a standing short dropkick right to Punk’s ribs take him down completely.
RENEE YOUNG: I like what we are seeing from Sydal here. He hasn’t lost a step it would seem.
MAURO RANALLO: Both guys are great at taking advantage of the openings given to them by their opponents.
PAT MCAFEE: Totally right, Mauro. That’s why all Punk need is that one quick opportunity to get the upper hand back here.
Sydal tries to stay on the attack, standing above Punk once again now. Before he can think of his next move, Punk sweeps his leg around and undercuts Matt, taking him down as well. Both men are quick back to their feet and now it’s quick hits and movements with both guys bouncing off the ropes, ducking and dodging one another’s moves before again Punk takes control with a swinging kick right to the face. Sydal is knocked back and drapes his arms over the ropes, catching himself. Punk moves towards him, sliding under the bottom rope and staying on the apron, pulling himself up with a big European uppercut right across Sydal’s jaw, knocking him back towards the ring. Matt doesn’t go down though and catches himself, but staggers around to get a springboard diving clothesline right across his chest, taking him down. Punk goes for the pin. 1..2…No! Sydal kicks out! Punk stays on the attack though, not wasting a moment getting to the top rope. He comes flying off for a top rope elbow drop, but Sydal rolls out of the way, making Punk crash into the mat. Punk clutches at his arm as Sydal springs back to his feet, bouncing off the ropes and driving a Shining Wizard into Punk! Sydal goes for the pin now! 1..2..3! No! Punk just barely kicks out! Sydal smacks his hands together three times in front of the referee, Shane Sewell who just shakes his head and holds up two fingers. Sydal turns back to Punk and pulls him up to his feet. He goes to drive his knee into Punk’s midsection, but CM blocks it! Punk whips Sydal into the ropes, as Matt bounces off of them back towards him, he grabs him and quickly hoists him up onto his shoulders. He drops his face down across his knee for a Go to Sleep! The whole thing takes maybe just a few seconds, if not less. Punk strikes him quickly, knocking him out and to the mat. He makes the cover. 1…2…3! Punk wins!
WINNER:
CM PUNK
Pinfall - 7:12
Pinfall - 7:12
MAURO RANALLO: There it is! A Go to Sleep from practically out of nowhere and that’s all she wrote!
RENEE YOUNG: That’s a good win for Punk and should get him back on track now.
PAT MCAFEE: Not to mention, he gets himself a future X-Division title shot! That’s a hot division right now!
Matt Striker finds himself backstage standing in front of the Ascension interview set. Flanking him on either side are Dustin and Brandi Rhodes. Though not competing tonight, Dustin still has half of his face strategically painted in black and blue while Brandi has her hair in a ponytail with a white shirt covered in a bedazzled Nightmare Family logo on the front.
MATT STRIKER: Ladies and gentlemen, I was set to interview Cody Rhodes ahead of his ladder match for the WLCW World heavyweight Championship, but I have been informed that he is unavailable for comment.
Brandi nods in agreement while Striker pivots the microphone towards her.
BRANDI RHODES: That’s right, Matt. Believe it or not, you kinda’ have to get mentally prepared for a ladder match with as high of stakes as this one has.
She gives him the fakest smile you’ve ever seen and bats her eyes.
BRANDI RHODES: But, I know you have a job to do and you have to get the hot scoops for the evening, so here we are to save the day for you. I think I can speak for Cody almost as well as he can, and it’s like this..
Ignoring Striker, she looks at the camera.
BRANDI RHODES: Tonight’s going to be a good night. A good night for Cody Rhodes, for the Nightmare Family, the fans, Mick Foley and every member of the WLCW roster. WLCW has been operating off of willpower and hope and it’s chugging right along! It's admirable. However, after tonight, with Cody Rhodes as World Champion, it won’t need hope any longer. It’ll have a FRANCHISE taking it to heights it never dreamed of!
The camera zooms in for a tight shot as Brandi speaks with a little bit of venom in her tone.
BRANDI RHODES: And for all of you who foolishly boo a man willing to fall off a ladder for your entertainment, shame on you. Cody Rhodes is going to be YOUR World Champion here shortly, so learn to love it. Because he’s not going anywhere.
Dustin grabs the microphone from Striker.
DUSTIN RHODES: Miro, you’re a big, bad S.O.B., brother. Ain’t no doubt about that. This won’t be a cakewalk for Cody, but it sure as hell won’t be an easy day at the office for you, either! I hope you’re ready to leave it all out there because my brother’s ready. He’s gonna’ toss you off a ladder and leave you as nothing more than a grease spot on the mat while he holds that title high.
Pride overtakes Dustin as he pounds his fist into his open palm.
DUSTIN RHODES: The time for talkin’ is over. It’s put up or shut up time, Miro.
Brandi and Dustin walk off, leaving Matt Striker standing alone.
MATT STRIKER: Well, there you have it! A VERY confident Nightmare Family is returning to the locker room of Cody Rhodes and we’re going to crown our first World Heavyweight Champion.. TONIGHT!
The scene fades.
PAT MCAFEE: The Rhodes clan is ready for a fight tonight. They got a world championship to win!
RENEE YOUNG: No, Cody has an opportunity tonight. The rest of them need to stay out of that match completely!
MAURO RANALLO: Full on agree with that, we’ve got ourselves a big contest coming up here now though!
JOHN CENA VS ROMAN REIGNS
SINGLES MATCH
SINGLES MATCH
These two seem to be continually crossing paths since the dawn of WLCW. Cena has had it out for Roman and The Bloodline for quite a while. Half part a rebirth of an older feud between the two and other half part madness, Cena will not rest until he has vanquished Reigns and his cohorts. It’s a challenge the Tribal Chief is up for though and this is a match he wanted. Cena has repeatedly been a thorn in his side. Cena’s interference leading to the Uso’s elimination from the title contender battle royale was the straw that proverbially broke the camel’s back. Now these two, who have been at each other’s throats for the better part of a month, are standing across the ring from one another with a chance to put a final nail in the coffin of this feud. The bell sounds and this one is underway as the two stare daggers through each other.
RENEE YOUNG: Cena has had it out for Reigns for quite some time now. This is a chance for redemption here tonight.
PAT MCAFEE: Reigns already got the best of him once. Can he do it again?
MAURO RANALLO: I think Cena is ready for him this time. This one should be an absolute gangbuster match.
Roman stares right at Cena who gives him a slight grin back. The Usos are at ringside but so is AJ Lee, not that that really evens the odds out any. Still, at least Cena has someone by his side tonight. The two go to lock up, but instead of any kind of start to the match, they just immediately start coming to blows with each other. Right hand fists being driven into each other’s face and neck area as the crowd cheers them on to do it. Finally Cena gets the upper hand and whips Reigns into the ropes. As he hits them and comes back to the ring, Cena hits the mat and Reigns goes over him, into the other ropes. He comes off that one and Cena gets him with a hip toss, taking him up and then down to the mat! The leader of the Cenation bounces off the ropes and goes for a Five Knuckle Shuffle, but as he gets there, Roman leg whips him and takes him down to a knee. With John down, Reigns drives his shoulder up and through Cena’s chest with a big rising clothesline, taking both men down to the mat now. Roman is the first one to his feet, lifting Cena back up and then hoisting him up, turning and driving him into the mat with a spinebuster. Reigns is back to his feet quickly and slicks the hair back out of his eyes and face as Cena reaches at his lower back in pain.
MAURO RANALLO: All it takes is one move and it can change the flow of a match just like that.
RENEE YOUNG: This has been more akin to a fight than a match.
PAT MCAFEE: At least we haven’t seen someone’s head smashed in a refrigerator door yet!
RENEE YOUNG: I would tell you to let that go, but it was pretty awesome.
Roman stands over his opponent who is struggling back to his feet, so he helps him back to a standing vertical base. Reigns wants to slow things down a bit and stay in control of his one, pulling Cena in and pinning his arms to his side with a bear hug. Before John can realize what is being attempted, Reigns has it locked in pretty tight. Cena tries to fight out of it, but Roman isn’t letting go, squeezing tighter as a matter of fact to apply more pressure against him. His arms, being squeezed against his sides and chest, he can barely move, let alone squirm free. You don’t see moves like this in matches a lot these days as it’s mostly a high flying act like we’ll see a few times tonight. Reigns knows that’s not how he’s going to win this one though. There’s playing to your strengths and then there’s doing stuff you’re good at and right now Roman Reigns is doing both by slowing this match down and hindering Cena’s strength and brute force. The hold is locked in for what seems like an eternity but in reality, it’s only just a few minutes before Cena is able to finally wriggle an arm free with some headbutts to Roman’s shoulder and neck region. Reigns finally loosens his grip and Cena has broken himself out. He bounces off the ropes and hits Reigns with a flying shoulder tackle, taking him down. John reaches up and clutches at his chest area from the bear hug, pulling Roman back to his feet. He goes to hoist him up on his shoulders for an AA, but Reigns slides off the back of him and shoves him forward. Cena stumbles a few steps and then turns around, Reigns goes in for a Superman Punch but Cena ducks underneath it! Cena again hoists up the surprised Roman on his shoulders for an AA. As he flips him over, Reigns lands on his feet! Cena can’t believe what he just saw and before he can react, Superman Punch right across the jaw! Cena is down! Roman goes for the pin. 1..2…3! It’s over!
WINNER:
ROMAN REIGNS
Pinfall - 4:52
Pinfall - 4:52
MAURO RANALLO: A valiant fight from John Cena but Roman Reigns was just too much for him tonight.
PAT MCAFEE: And so ends a storied chapter from one of the great first feuds of WLCW. What in the world will these two men do next?
RENEE YOUNG: My hope is that Roman continues to beat people up and John Cena does mid match rapping. But maybe that’s just me.
MAURO RANALLO: No, I think we all feel that way.
We are getting set for the next match, or at least we think we are before Kimber Lee comes out and grabs the microphone from Justin Roberts out of nowhere..
KIMBER LEE: Ladies and gentlemen, I’m still here! Still here, still fighting and still working hard to become someone you can be proud to cheer for. A little thing like ‘being cut’ isn’t going to stop me from getting the place I deserve on this show! So WLCW, let me make it simple - I’m not leaving your ring until you give me a pay per view match!
The crowd pops and she moves to the ropes closest to the entrance ramp. Kimber Lee-ans over the top rope and throws down the gauntlet.
KIMBER LEE: This is an open challenge! So any woman back there who thinks she’s better than the Crown Jewel of the Lee Family, come on down.
There’s a long pause as everyone waits for either an opponent or perhaps WLCW security to arrive on the scene. Kimber Lee sits in the middle of the ring and waits eagerly for someone to show their face. From backstage two women in black dresses step out, then unroll a red carpet down the entrance ramp. More curiously, a third woman in a fancy black and white dress emerges from backstage with a mic in her hand. She bows formally, and the dramatic opening strains of a familiar theme sound. Konami emerges next, holding a covered silver platter as usual. Finally, Misao steps through the curtain and makes her way toward the ring with coldness in her eyes.
SAYURI NAMBA: <”Introducing her opponent: representing Nouvelle Bishikigun, the Rose Queen, MIIISAAAAAAOOOO!”>
MAURO RANALLO: MAMA MIA! Misao, the Rose Queen has arrived!
PAT MCAFEE: She wasn’t on the card, but I think she’s taking issue with Kimber Lee taking our first pay per view hostage!
Konami climbs the ring steps first and holds the middle rope open for her liege. Misao steps through, then holds the bottom rope open for her loyal buter. The Rose Queen spins dramatically and plants her rose cane in the center of the ring as the music fades out. She then goes to her corner and hands her cape, cane and mask to Konami. Konami smiles evilly at Kimber Lee, then slips out of the ring.
KIMBER LEE VS MISAO
BONUS SINGLES MATCH
BONUS SINGLES MATCH
Kimber Lee initiates things by going to the center of the ring and offering a handshake with Misao. This proves to be a mistake as Misao sharply kicks her arm away and goes on the attack. The kick is followed by a stiff closed fist strike that staggers Kimber back toward the ropes. Taking the momentum firmly in her gloved hand, Misao whips Kimber off the ropes and levels her with a high knee on the rebound! WIth a vicious glee she stomps on Kimber’s right arm several times, causing her opponent to scream in pain. Misao runs the ropes and hits a leaping knee drop right onto Kimber’s throat. She goes for a pin, but it’s only two! Misao transitions this seamlessly into an ARMTRAP CROSSFACE! Kimber struggles mightily in the hold while Misao wrenches it in!
MAURO RANALLO: The Rose Queen dominating in the early going here, and this may be a short match. Much like Emperor Palpatine did with the rebel fleet in the hit film Return of the Jedi, Misao has Kimber Lee overwhelmed and trapped!
PAT MCAFEE: She might have a pretty face, but Kimber Lee’s positivity isn’t helping her. She’s getting schooled by Misao already.
The Rose Queen wrenches the hold again, but Kimber is slowly able to claw her way to the bottom rope. Konami pulls it away from Kimber until the ref notices and warns her, forcing the butler to let go. This allows Kimber to get her foot on the bottom rope, and Misao is forced to release the hold just before five. With a disgusted face she releases Kimber and lifts the Crown Jewel of the Lee Family off of the mat by the hair. She is about to hammer Kimber with another punch, but suddenly gets hit with a desperate forearm. Misao hits her with a punch and gets another forearm for her trouble! The exchange goes back and forth a few times but Kimber gets the advantage! She staggers Misao to the center of the ring, then runs the ropes and takes the Rose Queen down with a shoulder block! Misao gets up but gets leveled with another one! Kimber’s getting fired up and goes to the ropes again, but Misao wipes her out with a running knee! Misao follows it up by ripping Kimber from the mat by her hair and executing a beautiful STALLING VERTICAL SUPLEX! Instead of going for the pin, she pulls Kimber up again and whips her into the corner. At this point, Konami climbs up onto the ring apron and gets the referee’s attention!
MAURO RANALLO:
Kimber Lee might be done for, but the referee isn’t watching! Much like the human hands on allegedly feline characters in the 2019 bomb CATS, Konami is incredibly distracting!
PAT MCAFEE: Misao looks like a cat playing with her prey right now, that’s for sure!
With the ref distracted, Misao grabs a red rose left on the apron by Konami and flourishes it like a sword. Then she strikes Kimber across the face with the rose, causing its blossom to fly apart as the fans react with an OOOOO! As Kimber slumps down in the corner, Misao deposits the rose’s stem outside the ring and Konami hops down from the apron. Misao rushes the corner but eats a boot from Kimber! Kimber fights her way out of the corner with a combo of forearms and punches, but when she tries for a short arm lariat, Misao ducks it! Misao grabs Kimber’s arm from behind and floors her with a RIPCORD KNEE! Kimber crashes to the mat but Misao wastes no time in lifting her off the mat one last time to hit the VANITAS! As Misao plants a foot on Kimber’s chest, the ref counts 1-2-3!
WINNER:
MISAO
Pinfall 3:31
Pinfall 3:31
MAURO RANALLO: And just like that this one is over!
PAT MCAFEE: Total domination! Kimber Lee just got a regal pink slip.
SAYURI NAMBA: <Here is your winner: MIIIISAAAAAOOO!>
Konami presents Misao with the mic Kimber had used minutes earlier, then kicks Kimber to the apron and shoves her onto the arena floor. Misao smiles wickedly and raises the mic to make a royal proclamation. Her tone is dismissive and cruel.
MISAO: “One more weed pulled from my garden. It’s a shame I have not seen many actual flowers yet, but there’s still time. Until then, we will continue to fight for a truly beautiful future no matter who gets in our way. They’ll all end up like the tarnished crown jewel or the drunken samurai. Until then… au revoir.”
Her music plays again and Misao turns on her heels dramatically to exit the ring. Once again Konami holds the middle rope open for her, then hands her the rose cane. The pair saunter up the entrance ramp, Misao cold and aloof and Konami laughing evilly. After they depart with Sayuri Namba, the show goes on.
Houston, Texas.
There's no evidence that Booker T's "Reality of Wrestling" training school ever existed. Standing in front of the strip mall, Rok-C looks up at the bare space where the sign used to be. Confused, she approaches the glass door and touches the handle. Taking a deep breath, she pushes it open and steps inside.
BOOKER T: Welcome, grasshoppa'.
The voice of her mentor echoes across the room. She looks around and nothing is familiar. The room is white and there's "zen" music playing from a boom box in the corner. There's no wrestling ring-- actually, there's nothing that would indicate that this was ever a wrestling school. There's black mats on the floor and a heavy bag hanging in the corner. A single tear rolls down her cheek as she realizes that everything she knows is gone.
BOOKER T: You don't look impressed. Now, I know yo' ass ain' be walkin' up in my dojo 'n not bein' impressed!
She turns around, finally laying her eyes on the source of the voice. She's almost too stunned to speak. Booker T is standing there in a white karate gi with a black belt tied around his waist. She raises an eyebrow, drowning in confusion as she takes it all in. Her eyes are suddenly drawn to the wall next to him and the phrase painted on it.

She chokes out her words. She sounds pitiful.
ROK-C: Book... what--
It's all too much.
ROK-C: --I thought you said we were getting back to basics?!
He takes a deep breath and nods.
BOOKER T: Ain' nothin' mo' basic 'n this. Didn't I neva' tell you 'n the rest o' the dillies in my school 'bout my time as a samurai?
ROK-C: ...dude, there haven't been samurais since, like... 1870.
BOOKER T: That's jus' what the honkies in the Japanese CIA want ya'll t' think. Truth is, they still been bein' around, you dig? And now my ass is the last one... 'n that's why it's my responsibility t' take the lessons passed down t' me 'n pay'em forward. That's where yo' ass come in, Rok. My numba' one student, my grasshoppa', The Protagonist herself!
She stamps her foot on the floor, annoyed.
ROK-C: This isn't what I signed up for. I came here because you asked, instead of going to Ascension... and this is what you've done? This is what you've been working on? Dude, what-- I don't even know what to say! I don't need to know karate! I'm a wrestler!
Booker T looks around at his surroundings and nods solemnly.
BOOKER T: I unda'stand ya' frustration, Rok... 'n I know it don't be lookin' like much right now but the Booka' Man's got a plan t' get mo' students--
ROK-C: How did you even pay for all this!?
BOOKER T: I took out one o' them advances on 'at shampoo commercial contract--
ROK-C: You what!? Dude, I'm not doing that commercial!
BOOKER T: Who said anything 'bout you?
He slings his hair back over his shoulder and smells the air.
BOOKER T: In ten days, my ass is goin' t' Japan t' begin production... then I'll have all the money I need t' pay off the dojo and the live-in sushi chef.
She's so taken aback that she can barely speak.
ROK-C: Wait, a live-in sushi chef?!
Booker T nods toward the opposite corner of the room. The camera pans around quickly to reveal a man in a silk floral print robe and a black cowboy hat standing in front of a table covered in a full spread of sushi. He tips his hat in her direction.
JIMMY WANG YANG: Howdy.
She slowly turns back around to face Booker T. She can't even look at him. She just looks down at the floor and speaks through gritted teeth.
ROK-C: I... can't do this... right now.
Without another word, she turns and walks out of the dojo. Booker T watches her go with bugged out eyes. Booker T then smacks himself on the forehead, realizing he forgot something.
BOOKER T: Aww, man! Aww hell naw! I forgots t' tell her all 'bout my idea t' launch the first ever SUCKATE TOURNAMENT on Eruption! No wonda' she ain' got no faith... her ass don' think I gots a plan!

EDDIE KINGSTON & HOOK VS MCMG VS MADCAP MOSS/HAPPY CORBIN VS THE WINGMEN
FOUR WAY ELIMINATION TAG MATCH
This one has all the makings of a wild one with four tag teams involved. The Motor City Machine Guns of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin have made a major impact since their arrival in WLCW. Debuting in the title contender battle royale, they made their presence felt in the match. Now, a chance at the tag team titles on the line for them and a chance to show the world just how great of a tag team they really are. Madcap Moss and Happy Corbin have had an up and down experience win WLCW, leaning a bit more towards down lately, but a chance tonight to win tag team gold is certainly a remedy for that. The Wingmen have been impressive at points, picking up some nice wins early on in WLCW but tonight will be their biggest test to date. Bononi and Peter Avalon get the nod tonight. Jessica McKay at ringside, which is certainly a wildcard as she’s liable to do anything to help her team win. Then there’s the team of Eddie Kingston and Hook. A team thrown together at the last second in the wild card tag team draw by Mick Foley right after Vengeance. An unlikely team to say the last, but two men focused on making a splash and putting their name out there. They also like inflicting pain and there’s no better opportunity than this fatal four way elimination match tonight. The bell sounds and while there are little to no rules in this one, the referee is present and tells them to start the match. Due to a coin flip backstage, it’ll be Madcap Moss starting out against Eddie Kingston in this one.
MAURO RANALLO: Again, the rules in this one, a fatal four way elimination match and when it gets down to the final two teams, the match then becomes a ladder match.
PAT MCAFEE: This is going to be a testament of will and strength to see who can come out of this one!
RENEE YOUNG: Four hungry teams and only one tag team champion crowned. This should be an exciting one!
Moss looks back at Corbin, who is nursing what looks to be some kind of hand injury with his hand taped up rather thick to the point where it almost looks like a club instead of a hand. Happy motions for him to go in and start the match against Kingston. Eddie does some annoyed facial expressions and motions for Madcap to come towards him in the middle of the ring and get this one started. Madcap shakes his head and then points at Happy Corbin, the crowd almost overwhelmingly groans. Moss slaps Corbin’s shoulder and tags him into the match to start it. Happy seems surprised and unprepared for that as Madcap nods and starts clapping at him. Corbin steps between the ropes with his large club-like hand - which, to be fair, he injured when smashing a wine glass during an in home accident. Kingston is beside himself with frustration and anger as Moss and Happy go back and forth over who will start. The referee admonishes them and tells them to get towards the match. Corbin turns away from Moss and towards Kingston to start the match but right as he does, Eddie is waiting for him to turn around and drills him SPINNING BACKFIST TO THE FACE of Corbin. Taking him down. Madcap puts his hand up ons his face in shock as Eddie pins Corbin and pulls the leg to hook it. 1..2…3! They’re eliminated!
RENEE YOUNG: What!? They’re just eliminated right off the bat!?
PAT MCAFEE: All that arguing just to see who would take a fist to the face from Kingston. Gotta hand it to Moss, smart move from him to tag out of that.
MAURO RANALLO: Well, it would seem as though we’re already down to three teams after that fist from Kingston to Happy Corbin’s face. They are officially eliminated in this one.
Moss pulls Corbin out of the ring who is still recovering from getting his bell rung as the crowd cheers maniacally at their elimination. Kingston yells to get them out of the ring when he’s hit from behind by Alex Shelley, knocking him forward into Bononi and Avalon. Pretty Peter smacks Kingston right in the chest to tag himself into the match. Eddie doesn’t like that and drills Peter with a right first right to the face, knocking him into the corner. Another right before Bononi slaps his hand on Avalon and tags himself into the match. Kingston either doesn’t see it, or sees it and doesn’t care, but he’s grabbed from behind and tosses towards Alex Shelley in the middle of the ring. Kingston goes tumbling and Shelley jumps up over the tossed person sent his way. Bononi turns his attention to Shelley as Kingston rolls out of the ring. Alex bounces off the ropes and does a quick missile dropkick to Bononi’s knee, taking him down to one knee off his vertical base. Shelley tags Sabin in and they go to work with a double team move. They bounce off opposite ropes, with Shelley coming off facing Bononi and Sabin behind him. Sabin delivers a dropkick to Bononi’s lower back while Shelley flips over him, grabbing his neck and taking him quickly to the mat with a neckbreaker move. Sabin is the legal man and drops a quick elbow right across Bononi’s chest as he clutches at his neck. Sabin goes to measure up Bononi for a move off the ropes, but as he bounces off of them, Hook tags himself into the match. These guys aren’t using to being in situations and matches where people are actively trying to tag themselves into it and it’s showing here early on. Hook yells at Sabin to leave the ring as Cezar starts to get back to his feet. Sabin and Hook have a bit of a face off before Chris finally holds his hands up defensively and leaves the ring, leaving Hook in there with the much taller and wider Bononi - who is now back to his feet. Hook turns and his face bumps right into Bononi’s chest. Cezar grabs the surprised son of Taz around the neck and lifts him up, tossing him to his side, making Hook land in a heap on the mat.
MAURO RANALLO: Not quite sure the handsome devil Hook was ready for that one.
PAT MCAFEE: Yeah, he’s giving up a bit of size there to Bononi.
RENEE YOUNG: This is the great analysis we pay you for, Pat.
PAT MCAFEE: I work to my strengths, Renee!
Bononi picks Hook back up to his feet, but he’s ready for it, driving a taped right fist right into the big man’s stomach, doubling him over. Another punch and then one more, Bononi is bent over, almost level with the much smaller Hook now. Hook hits him with a big european uppercut, knocking Cezar back and into the corner of the Motor City Machine Guns. Shelly tags himself back in on Bononi as being the match might usually be the name of the game, but survival until the final two should be the focus right now. Alex is up and over the top rope, bouncing off the ropes to the side of Hook. The handsome devil ducks down, ready to match speed for speed. Shelly goes towards Hook, who vaults up and over him as Alex ducks under him. Shelley is off the opposite ropes where Hook catches him with a hip toss takeover, smashing Shelley into the mat. Hook goes right to work on locking in a leg lock, trying to take away the speed and quickness from one half of the Guns. Hook keeps it locked in for about a minute or two before Shelley musters the strength with his opposite leg to kick at Hook, trying to knock him off of his leg. Hook finally lets go after a few kicks. Shelley rolls back and reaches back to tag Sabin, who tags in. Hook is getting back to his feet as Sabin thrusts himself up and over the top rope with a shoulder block, taking Hook down. Kingston yells at Hook to get it together and recover quickly. Sabin stays on the attack though, picking Hook up quickly and hoisting him up and dropping him down with a brainbuster! Hook’s head smacks into the mat and his body goes tumbling afterwards, dropping him in a heap. Sabin goes for the pin. 1…2…No! Broke up by Eddie Kingston as Shelly takes a step in, Kingston puts his hands up, smiling at Alex and leaving the ring once again. Sabin seems annoyed but stays on Hook. Bononi and Avalon seem pretty content to watch this one play out. Sabin lifts Hook back up to his feet, but Hook swipes up both of his arms, knocking Sabin’s away from him and then shoving him back. Before Sabin can react, Hook leaves his foot, bringing his foot up and driving it into the back of Sabin’s head with a big enziguri! Both men are down as Kingston reaches his hand out and tries to make the tag. Hook crawls over and tags in Kingston! Eddie comes into the match as the crowd comes alive! Kingston just walks across the ring towards Bononi and Avalon and tags Pretty Peter into the match! The referee calls for the switch as Eddie grabs Peter around the head and pulls him into the match. Bononi seems confused as Eddie picks Peter up to his feet and headbutts him! Peter slumps into the corner as Sabin gets back to his feet across the ring. Eddie stands up the legal man, Avalon and swings back around with ANOTHER SPINNING BACK FIST! This time to Avalon! He is knocked out completely, but Bononi makes the tag right before Peter passes out and rolls under the bottom rope! The referee grabs at Kingston and tells him he needs to leave the ring, but the damage is done! Cezar is into the match.
RENEE YOUNG: Peter Avalon may be officially knocked out cold!
PAT MCAFEE: Good thing Drake is an ambulance driver! Those trips can get costly real quick!
MAURO RANALLO: Are we sure Wingmen’s doesn’t have a health care plan!? Avalon is gonna need it after that!
Sabin rushes in but is immediately grabbed by Cezar and lifted up for a double handed chokeslam, falling forward and smashing Chris into the mat. Bononi goes for a pin and the referee is down to count. Shelley tries to come in but he’s cut off with a spear takedown from Hook. 1..2..3! The Machine Guns are officially eliminated! The crowd seems shocked as the tag team championships are being brought down from the rafters. Everyone is looking up at them. Well, Cezar Bononi, Hook and Kingston are as Avalon is still out of the ring knocked out and the Machine Guns are eliminated. Eddie works quickly, hopping off the apron and grabbing a ladder. Hook rolls out and grabs one as well. Bononi thinks he has the size advantage to just reach up and grab the titles. They keep coming down towards him and he minions for them to come closer. He reaches up right as the belts stop and hang above the ring. Cezar can’t reach but he starts jumping, frantically reaching but he’s not coming anywhere close. Kingston and Hook are back in the ring, each with a respective ladder and they smash Bononi between them, taking him down! The ladders make a loud clack sound as they crash into one another. Hook goes to stand his ladder up as Bononi clutches at his arms on the mat. Kingston motions for Hook to ascend as he tries to deal with Bononi. Cezar is back to one knee as Kingston is smacking him in the face with repeated lefts and rights. Bononi shoves Kingston back who backs into the ladder that Hook was trying to go up. Eddie’s weight knocks the ladder over and it goes crashing to the mat with Hook as well. Cezar grabs the downed ladder Eddie was using before and tosses it to the outside as it smacks on the mat. Hook and Eddie try and work together to take down the giant man, but it’s tough.
PAT MCAFEE: It’s practically a two on one here with Bononi against Hook and Kingston!
Maruo: For a new team, these two guys are working very well together!
RENEE YOUNG: Inflicting pain is something they have in common so it’s no surprise they’re working well together.
They both grab Bononi, but he fights back, shoving them both into the ropes. Hook comes off and is met with a loud SMACK right to his chest. Cezar with the big open hand smack to him and Hook is in pain now. Kingston goes for Bononi but Cezar knocks him back as well. Kingston stumbles through the ropes and lands on the apron. Hook is back to his feet but met by Cezar who grabs him around the throat, just like he did to the Motor City Machine Guns, Cezar lifts him up and drops him down with a double handed choke slam! Hook rolls out of the ring as Cezar turns his attention to the titles. He goes to grab the ladder and set it up. He walks to start his ascent when he’s hit from behind by Eddie Kingston! Eddie knocks him towards the ropes and Bononi is stuck on them. Eddie backs up a few steps and rushes towards him, drilling him with a clothesline, taking both men up and over and they crash into the ladders on the floor in an ugly way! Eddie looks like he lands on his shoulders and Bononi’s back smacks into the two ladders outside of the ring! Everyone is out and the ring as empty! Jessica McKay looks around and goes over to where Peter Avalon is down. She smacks him in the face but he refuses to come to, so she lifts him up to his feet and rolls him into the ring. The crowd starts to murmur about what is happening as Mckay lifts Peter up again and puts him up on her shoulders. She looks at the ladder standing in the ring below the titles with the small pretty man on her back. She starts to climb the ladder, slowly one rung at a time with Peter Avalon on her back! The crowd starts to cheer wildly which is crazy because The Wingmen don’t normally get a ton of cheers. McKay is halfway up when Avalon starts to come to. As she reaches the next rung, Avalon is almost there and reaches up off her back, his fingertips touching the tag titles. Another rung from McKay with Avalon on her back! Peter reaches up and grabs at one belt and then the other, pulling them off the hook for the win!
WINNER:
THE WINGMEN
Belt Retrieval - 22:29
Belt Retrieval - 22:29
MAURO RANALLO: DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES!?
PAT MCAFEE: Jessica McKay just took Peter Avalon to the promised land!
RENEE YOUNG: Once a national threat, now a national treasure! The Wingmen are tag team champions!
